Studio Arts Boulder

Have you ever wanted to turn a ball of clay into a unique, funky, modern, creative statement piece for your home? Well, have we got some good news for you!

This class takes place at the new Studio Arts Boulder Membership space at 3063 Sterling Circle, Boulder, CO. The Sterling Circle studio has a separate classroom for this class.

This 4-week handbuilding class will explore basic handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab rolling. But it will also funk it up by teaching how to apply those skills to create a number of delicate and modern embellishments like ceramic chains, hinges for lidded vessels, surface decoration, and more. Join in to learn the basics of how to make handbuilt altars, wall hangings, boxes and more. Handbuilding experience will give you a leg up, but it's not necessary - beginners are welcome!

This class meets weekly for 4 weeks on MONDAYS

Ages: 16 and above
